The 123-txt SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) server supports the SMPP v3.4 industry standard and is used for sending a high number of messages and delivery receipts in an instant, direct from the operator. SMPP is typically used for high speed, low latency, ‘always on’ integrations owing to SMPP utilising mechanisms to confirm the connection is always available. This makes it the best API to use when real time incoming messages are a requirement for your solutions.
Our SMPP service can be configured to send up to 500 messages a second and receive instant delivery receipts. This means that you can send out important SMS notifications and alerts to incredibly large groups of people with the confidence that the messages will reach them almost immediately.
